چکیده
The use of adequate thermal energy storage (TES) systems has shown the potential to increase efficiency in many fields, such as building sector. Shape-stabilized phase change materials (SS-PCMs) have attracted attention address one key barriers (PCMs), leakage during liquid state, that nowadays limits its applicability. However, SS-PCMs still drawbacks overcome, poor fire reaction and stability. In present study, polymeric are nano-enhanced with layered silicates overcome these drawbacks. new shape-stabilized material (SS-NEPCM) is based on ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) a matrix, palmitic acid (PA) PCM montmorillonite (MMT) silicate. An innovative method Banbury mixer was used prepare it, which an industrially scalable fabrication method. To evaluate effect each component, eight different formulations were prepared: pure EPDM, EPDM MMT additions (1 wt%, 3 wt% 5 wt%), PA (5 10 wt%) (3 wt%). composite obtained not degraded by processing FT-IR results show. X-ray diffraction showed ordered intercalated morphology formed between chains MMT. Thermogravimetric experimental revealed stability SS-NEPCM result barrier provided Moreover, resistance improved great reduction or avoidance dripping phenomenon.

متن کاملStudy on preparation of montmorillonite-based composite phase change materials and their applications in thermal storage building materials
Three composite phase change materials (PCMs) were prepared by blending butyl stearate, dodecanol and RT20 with an organically modified montmorillonite (MMT), respectively. After the three composite PCMs were characterized by DSC, it was indicated that the RT20/MMT composite PCM was a good candidate for building applications due to its large latent heat, suitable phase change temperature and go...
